Sobre a sociedade
A sociedade japonesa de acupuntura pediátrica está comprometida com o desenvolvimento do Shonihari através de seu contínuo estudo e promoção da prática, por meio dos quais pretendemos contribuir para a promoção da saúde de todas as crianças. Para alcançar o objetivo acima mencionado, as seguintes atividades e eventos são conduzidos.

(3)Colaboração e intercâmbio com organizações e instituições relacionadas, nacionais e internacionais

A sociedade japonesa de acupuntura pediátrica foi estabelecida em abril de 2007 com o objetivo de contribuir para a promoção da saúde da criança por meio do tratamento Shonihari, pesquisando e promovendo a prática.
Desde então, realizamos reuniões acadêmicas em vários lugares do Japão, interagindo com praticantes estrangeiros e nos esforçando para promover o Shonihari.
Nesta oportunidade, nos candidatamos a uma associação geral constituída, com o objetivo de realizar atividades de alto interesse público e promover amplamente o Shonihari, e foi aprovado em 9 de agosto de 2010.
Faremos mais esforços para atividades de promoção da saúde de todas as crianças pelo tratamento Shonihari.
Sobre o Shonihari
Shonihari (acupuntura pediátrica, também conhecida como Shonishin no Japão) foi desenvolvida como uma forma de acupuntura destinada ao tratamento de crianças e praticada ativamente desde o final do período Edo. Ao longo do tempo, ela se estabeleceu de forma única como uma técnica especializada de acupuntura no Japão.
A principal característica distintiva de Shonihari é que em vez de inserir agulhas, ferramentas semelhantes a agulhas são usadas para friccionar a superfície da pele ou tocar suavemente e repetidamente na pele.*
Após identificação dos sintomas de cada criança, trata-se os pontos nos quais o efeito esperado está localizado (meridianos ou pontos de acupuntura). Essa técnica de acupuntura, que usa estimulação muito leve, é reconfortante para bebês e crianças, de modo que algumas crianças adormecem durante o tratamento.
A duração de um tratamento é muito curta, de dois a cinco minutos, mas relaxa a criança e melhora os sintomas dos nervos autônomos, choro noturno, Kan-mushi (acessos de raiva e gritos), constipação, indigestão e enurese noturna.
Nos últimos anos, tratamentos também são aplicados para recusa escolar e transtornos de desenvolvimento.
Em geral, a faixa etária indicada para uso do Shonihari vai desde a infância até a idade do ensino fundamental (de 0 a cerca de 12).
Recentemente, essa técnica está sendo praticada não apenas para crianças mais novas, mas também para crianças mais velhas (alunos do ensino fundamental e médio), adultos com sintomas de nervos autônomos, adultos idosos com demência – portanto, o potencial de eficácia de Shonihari passou a chamar a atenção.
Em relação ao mecanismo de “Shonihari”, atualmente estão em andamento pesquisas sobre o efeito da estimulação na pele potencializando a liberação de substâncias neuroquímicas e equilibrando o sistema nervoso autônomo.
*Em geral, para crianças, a técnica acima mencionada de acupuntura pediátrica é a mais aplicada, mas em alguns casos, a acupuntura invasiva (inserção de agulhas) ou moxabustão também pode ser adicionada para ser aplicada adaptada aos sintomas e doenças.

What is a Certified pediatric acupuncturist?
One of the objectives of the academic society is developing acupuncturists capable of the high skills for Shonihari so that more children would be able to receive the benefit of the highest standard treatment equally by Shonihari which promotes healthy development.
A member who has high standard skills of pediatric acupuncture with satisfying certain conditions, thus who is constantly studying and striving to promote, we qualify as Certified pediatric acupuncturist.
